DESCRIPTION:Indigenous Education Councils\, Model LEA and First Nation Schools of Choice\nThe First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) invites you to the upcoming School Act Amendments Regional Workshops. \nThe focus of these meetings will be to discuss strategies to support effective implementation of the School Amendment Act\, 2023. First Nations will be able to connect with other First Nations and share experiences on changes taking place in their school districts regarding Indigenous Education Councils (IECs)\, the Model Local Education Agreement (Model LEA)\, and First Nation Schools of Choice. An IEC Topics resource will be shared to be utilized at your IEC table(s). An update on BCTEA renewal will also be provided. \nThe School Act Amendment Regional Workshops will build upon discussions from the 2025 DRIPA Regional Implementation Meetings.
