Membership
First Nations in BC can join FNESC through a Band Council Resolution that appoints a representative to the FNESC Board of Directors.
To become a FNESC Board Member, or if a Member would like to change their Director on the FNESC Board, please contact executiveservicesadmin@fnesc.ca for the sets of forms to support you with the update. We are also glad to help if you have membership questions.
Change a Director
If a Member First Nation would like to officially change their Director on the FNESC Board, the following documents are required:
- A signed Band Council resolution (template provided)
- A signed Directors Consent Form
- A completed FNESC Directors Contact Information Form
Become a Member
If a First Nation would like to become a FNESC Member on the FNESC Board of Directors, the following documents are required:
- A signed Band Council resolution (template provided)
- A signed Directors Consent Form
- A completed FNESC Directors Contact Information Form
It is the responsibility of Directors to ensure that their contact information is correct.
A First Nation will remain a Member of FNESC until it provides a written notice stating that its membership has ceased. A Director will remain on the FNESC Board until they resign or the First Nation that appointed them provides a written notice to FNESC that it has replaced the Director.
