FNESC administers offers a variety of funding programs for First Nations and First Nation schools aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and governance for First Nations communities in British Columbia.

Funding administered by FNESC is only available to eligible First Nations and First Nations schools. Eligibility varies by program and communities or schools that are eligible for a specific opportunity will be contacted directly by FNESC.

Arts Promotion in the Classroom (ARTISTS.PRO)

Grants offered through this program support First Nations schools in British Columbia to introduce students to a multi-cultural range of dance, theatre, music, literacy, media and visual arts.

BC First Nations Post-Secondary Partnerships Program (PSPP)

FNESC and the Indigenous Adult and Higher Learning Association are pleased to support the delivery of the Post-Secondary Partnerships Program in BC.

Co-operative Education Program (COOP)

FNESC and the First Nations Schools Association, in partnership with Indigenous Services Canada, offer the Cooperative Education Program (COOP) for First Nations schools.

Impacts on Student Learning and Well-Being (IMPACT.LEARN)

This funding program supports First Nations and First Nations schools in taking a positive and pro-active approach to addressing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on student learning and well-being.

Parents Engagement Grant (PARENTS.ENGAGE)

Grants offered through this program support activities to promote parental engagement in education, recognizing that parents and families play a crucial role in the education of their children:

Skills Link Program (SKILLS.LINK)

This program introduces youth to a variety of career options and builds essential employability skills in First Nations youth.

Summer Work Experience Program (SUMMER.WORK)

This program helps youth acquire employability skills and work experience to help prepare them for future careers.

Supporting Capacity Development for First Nations K-12 Education Governance (ED.GOVERNANCE)

This initiative recognizes that strong governance is a crucial factor in success of First Nations primary, elementary, and secondary students.

Supports for Students with Exceptionalities Program (SSEP)

This program is designed to support First Nation schools to provide students high-quality, inclusive education services.
