Skills Link Program (SKILLS.LINK)

FNESC and the First Nations Schools Association are pleased to manage Indigenous Services Canada 2025-2026 Skills Link Program in the BC region for First Nation communities and schools.

The Skills Link Program is one of the two programs that ISC administers under the First Nations and Inuit Youth Employment Strategy (FNIYES).

The program’s goals and objectives are:

  • To promote the benefits of education as key to labour market participation

  • To support the development and enhancement of essential employability skills among First Nation youth such as, communication skills, problem solving and working with others.

  • To introduce youth to a variety of career options

Eligibility

  • Eligible recipients are First Nations communities and First Nations schools in the BC Region.

  • Eligible participants are First Nations youth ordinarily resident on reserve, in recognized communities or on community lands, between the ages of 15 and 30.
